CCEC Manufacturing Base Logistics Project Concluded

As the only high-horsepower engine manufacturer of CMS in China, CMS entrusted FabLab to provide its Chongqing plant with a full range of integrated production and logistics planning to help it become a world-class, global-oriented high-horsepower engine research and development center and manufacturing base.

CCEC was established in October 1995 and has more than 1,400 employees. The predecessor of CCEC is Chongqing Automobile Engine Factory, which has been involved in the design and manufacture of diesel engines since the 1950s. CCEC is a joint venture established by Chongqing Electromechanical Group and CMS  with a 50:50 share ratio. It is also the earliest CCEC established among the six major engine companies in China. After 24 years of development, it has grown into an excellent high-horsepower power production base in China. , The products not only meet the domestic market, but also are widely equipped with foreign OEMs and exported to the global market.

The CCEC high-horsepower engine technology research and development center and high-horsepower engine production base are located in Pingchang and Dayun Industrial Area, the former northern new district of Chongqing, covering an area of 266,360 square meters. The new production base was put into construction in 2019, trial production began in early 2021, and all the ramp-up stages were completed by the end of the year. The current production and operation are in good condition.

Fabrag has carried out an overall logistics plan for CCEC’s new production base, adopting the concepts and principles of lean logistics. The logistics plan involves more than 5,000 SKUs, 11 production lines and more than 10,000 square meters of storage area. Fabrag’s logistics planning has established a high-standard logistics management system for CCEC from the beginning of its construction, realizing the standardization of the logistics system, rationalization of functional layout, smooth logistics routes, rationalization of online methods, rhythm of process distribution, and logistics management information. chemistry and physics team specialization.
