QSK60 engine is a V 16 engine, which is V-type engine with 16 cylinders , the displacement is 60.2 liter , The overall dimensions of is 2420 mm * 1730 mm * 3357 mm and the net weight is 7990 kg.
CCEC QSK60 series industrial engine is a V16 engine with 60.2 liter displacement. The overall dimensions of CCEC QSK60 series industrial engine is 3357 mm * 1730 mm * 2420 mm, and the net weight is 7990 kg. CCEC QSK60 series industrial engine comes with CCEC HPI fuel system, and equiped with Turbocharger & Low Temperature Aftercooler. The emission standard can range up to U. S. EPA Tier IV. The power range covers from 1668 kW to 1864 kW, with rated speed from 1800 rpm to 1900 rpm.

CMI QSK60-c industrial engine is a classic engine model that has been widely used in all kinds of industrial equipment, mining equipment, locomotives, gas oil equipment.
For the industrial equipment application, QSK60 engine has been widely used in all kinds of hydraulic excavators including Komatsu PC4000, Hitach EX3600 engine and XCMG XE4000.
For the mining equipment, QSK60 engine has been widely used in many international well-known dump trucks including Belaz 75305, 75306, 75307, 75310, Komatsu 830E-5 and XCMG XDE240.
QSK60 engines also very popular in fracturing trucks, which used in oil and gas industry, there are lots of fracturing truck manufacturers in China, and taking QSK60 engine as priority option for their products, making QSK60 engines also popular in fracturing truck industry.
There are two generations of QSK60-C industrial engines.
How many types of QSK60-C industrial engine?
There are two generations of QSK60 engines.
The first generation QSK60 engine is comes with HPI fuel system, which are equipped with High-Pressure Injection system and electronic control unit, it is not a common rail system, which is also call Semi-electronic control engine with mechanical injectors. Most of the old models of QSK60 engines are equipped with HPI fuel system, including QSK60 engines using in all kinds of mining dump trucks including Belaz 75305, 75306, 75307, 75310, Komatsu 830E-5, hydraulic excavators including Komatsu PC4000, Hitach EX3600 engine and XCMG XE4000.
The 2nd generation QSK60 engine is comes with MCRS fuel system, which are equipped with Cummins self-developed common rail system and ECU, which is a modern model that have much better power performance and lower emissions.
CMI terminated the production of QSK60 HPI industrial engines, all of QSK60 industrial engines are only comes with MCRS fuel system now, which cause lots of problems for customers to want to replace their old QSK60 engines with HPI fuel system.
CMI UK and India factory still producing QSK60 engines with HPI fuel system, but CCEC-Chongqing Cummins Engine Company, China factory only producing MCRS fuel system engines, which are the models of QSK60-G21, QSK60-G22 and QSK60-G23.
How can you buy new engines to replace your old QSK60-C HPI engine?
As mentioned above, CMI already terminated the production of QSK60-C HPI industrial engine, so if you want to use industrial engine, you can only use Cummins QSK60 MCRS fuel system engine, which the fuel system and control system are totally different with your old engine, and you have to modify the driving control system of your machine to make the engine working properly, we already delivered some of QSK60 MCRS fuel system engines to replace the old QSK60 HPI industrial engines that installed in Komatsu PC4000 excavators.
As 2nd option, as mentioned above, CMI still producing QSK60-G generator drive engine with HPI fuel system, and some of generator drive engine models very close to the QSK60-C industrial engine, we are able to converting the QSK60-G engine into QSK60-C engine, which we will change all different components between QSK60-G and QSK60-C, and then the engine still comes with HPI fuel system, and the machines don’t need to change any control or drive system.

Tips of modify QSK60-G engine into QSK60-C engine and keep HPI fuel system.
As mentioned above, due to the HPI fuel system is same with original QSK60-C industrial engine, so modify generator drive engine into QSK60-C industrial engine is a very good solution and become very popular in the market.
To modify a QSK60-G engine to replace QSK60-C HPI engine, we need to confirm what exactly configuration of the original engine, which means provide the original name plate or at least correct ESN-engine serial number.
There are lots of machines using QSK60 HPI engines as power sources, mainly including Belaz 75305, 75306, 75307, 75310 and Komatsu 830E-5 mining dump truck, Komatsu PC4000 and Hitach EX3600 hydraulic excavators.
There are four engine power rating of QSK60-C HPI engine, including 2237HP, 2300HP, 2500HP and 2700HP.

- Performance Parts Comparison: Based on the engine serial number from customer, our professional experienced engineering team will analysis different options of QSK60-G engines, and find out the most suitable models from QSK60-G3, QSK60-G4, QSK60-G7 and QSK60-G8. And the key point of engine selection is the performance parts, to make sure the engine quality not effected from modification, we will not modify any performance parts, so the key point is to choose the right generator drive engine that have exactly same performance pars with original engine serial number.
- Outer Parts Comparison: Based on the same performance parts, which normally should have 2 or 3 models are with same performance parts, and then we will compare the outer parts modifications, we will calculate the additional costs of each engine models and make comparison.
