On December 5, 2023, the 2023 China International Maritime Exhibition with the theme of “Innovation, Intelligence, Low Carbon” opened. CCEC brought two new low-emission marine engine models that will be launched on the market – QSZ13 and locally produced QSK50. appeared and firmly locked the attention of the audience.
Chai Ruimin, general manager of the industrial engine business of CCEC Power Systems Division in China, said: “As a global leader in engine technology, continuous innovation and providing customers with high-quality products and services have always been the goals pursued by CCEC for a century. In the field of marine engine applications, We are also constantly exploring and improving existing engine technology, using low-carbon emission technology, intelligent control systems and more advanced materials to improve fuel efficiency and operating efficiency, and reduce emissions of pollutants including carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. Reduce the environmental footprint and gradually achieve zero emissions.”

QSZ13 high-power inline 6-cylinder engine, with a displacement of 13 liters and a maximum output of 800 horsepower. This model is a high-quality product developed over two years by the marine engine development teams of Chongqing CCEC and CCEC, relying on CCEC’ local advanced R&D resources and manufacturing processes in China. Suitable for high-speed boat applications such as yachts, government service ships, and leisure fishing boats. It meets China’s Phase II and IMO Tier II emission standards, and has the ability to meet stringent emission standards such as US EPA Tier III, EU EU3A, and RCD2.
QSZ13 integrates many leading technologies of CCEC diesel engine. The ultra-high pressure fuel injection system (XPI) and Quantum electronic control system and efficient HOLSET supercharger developed by CCEC ensure excellent power performance and fuel economy. Together with optimized low-temperature intercooling technology, they can meet the requirements of many ship emission regulations. The excellent engine structural design not only meets the requirements of lightweighting, but also ensures reliability under high power output conditions.
The truck equipped with this model has participated in the Dakar Rally and won both first and second place. The engine performance is mature and reliable. With the advantages of localized production and local supply chain, QSZ13 has unique advantages in product delivery and product after-sales. Relying on CCEC’ comprehensive after-sales service network, it brings users a more convenient service experience and more advantageous maintenance costs.

As a 16-cylinder four-stroke high-speed, low-emission, high-horsepower diesel engine, the QSK50 has a bore and stroke of 159 mm and a power range from 1,700 to 2,200 horsepower. It can be used for ship power generation and ship propulsion, and has Certification from the world’s major classification societies ABS, BV, DNV, CCS and LR.
The QSK50 adopts a V-shaped structural layout and is designed with a machine belt heat exchanger and a seawater pump. The structure is compact and convenient for engine room layout. This model is equipped with a high-efficiency supercharged low-temperature intercooled air intake system and adopts modular high-pressure common rail fully electronically controlled fuel injection technology. Compared with traditional mechanical engines, this engine has lower combustion noise, smaller vibration, lower fuel consumption rate, and stronger low-load adaptability.
QSK50 has been widely used in government service ships, offshore engineering, ferries, wind power and engineering ships, and has won unanimous praise from users. In order to better serve the Chinese marine machinery market and customers, CCEC will introduce QSK50 into the Chinese production system in 2023 and officially put it into production at CCEC’ new high-horsepower factory in Chongqing. In addition to being completely consistent with CCEC’ global production system in terms of manufacturing and quality control standards, the QSK50 engine produced by Chongqing CCEC has further improved its power according to the needs of the Chinese market, greatly shortened the delivery time, and better met the diverse customization needs of domestic customers. .
As one of the leaders in the generator industry, CCEC’ generator brand STAMFORD|AvKTM also brought its STAMFORD® S7 water-cooled generator to the maritime exhibition for the first time, “Zhengheng” at the maritime event with reliable and efficient solutions.
The STAMFORD® S7 water-cooled generator on display this time covers the power range from 1150 to 2644kVA and the voltage range is 380-690V. In addition to having 3 times the short-circuit current handling capacity, it extends the running time and meets the marine protection level IP23-IP54, further improving product reliability. This series of products can meet the needs of a wide range of marine applications and is ideally suited for critical projects.
